With just two days until Phoebe Waller-Bridge hosts Saturday Night Live for the first time, a new promo teases some witty banter between the host and musical guest Taylor Swift.

The 34 year old Fleabag star and creator seemingly used her Emmy-winning writing skills on the show, writing a joke for the 29 year old pop sensation.

The problem was, it seems, the joke by the London native was a bit too British for the Pennsylvania-raised singer.

The promo begins with Waller-Bridge stating, ‘I’m hosting Saturday Night Live this week with musical guest Taylor Swift.’

Swift then says her line, but it gets awkward quite quickly, when it becomes clear that Waller-Bridge wrote the joke.

‘It’s gonna be mental, innit? Like a randy… did you write this?’ Swift asks Waller-Bridge.

‘Yeah, sorry. It’s too British, isn’t it?’ Waller-Bridge asks, with Swift responding, ‘Just a little bit.

While Swift will be the musical guest, it wouldn’t be surprising if she was used in a sketch or two as well.

She has previously starred in movies such as Valentine’s Day and The Giver, adn she will next be seen on the big screen in Cats, opening Christmas Day.
